These photographs show lead models produced by British manufactures mostly in the 50's when toys knights were at their high of popularity. No Courtenays or Pings in these pictures those Heraldic models are very unique, but I have included the early Courtenay designed Doran. 

Most models were produced in various paint colours and different finishes, I have included a few examples. 

I think this is where a web page has an advantage over a book, if you want more detail, a click and you can view a larger picture.
