Knights of Avalon

 Robert Taylor

Totally out of context with this web site, but of great interest to me, while looking   at my collection of hollow-cast figures I realized that four of my early lead/hollow-cast figures were characters played Robert Taylor in medial film dramas in the early fifties.

We are these days well used too model figure spin off's from films and television, after the massive hype of Star Wars. But these figures date from the early 1950's and are some the earliest post war publicity /merchandising products.

First robert Taylor epic was Quo Vadis 1951 a top rankings film in that year grossing over $11.9 million a massive amount of money in ,1951
