Knights of Avalon

My Other Lead Figures
Toy and Heraldic knight collecting is my main passion, but who can resist some of the other lead figures produced over the years.
Cowboys and Indian's figures from the 50's

Cowboys to me were the knights of wild west. Just like my toy knights my Timpo cowboys were well play worn and hold many memories.

There you will find a photograph of nearly every hollow-cast Cowboy and Indian produced by a UK manufacturer. Their condition varies from excellent to play worn, The challenge for me was to build a set of figures, that did not cost a fortune. It was just fun collecting figures from my childhood. There are some gaps, hopefully to be found someday, patience is a virtue we are told, certainly you need it in collecting..........

Timpo produced what I consider the best range of hollow-cast under their Wild West series. Lead figures were produced from about 1949  till their move into plastic models in the mid 50's.
