| Cherilea Knights Baronial
|
Cherilea knights my favorite from this manufacturer, approx scale 54mm detachable from his horse, with
detachable lance, produced in 1954 But remove his helm and there is the man, with
his pink rosy cheeks. Great paint
work, terrific toy Knight. I have found it gold, white and blue as below or
silver , white and red.

Also from the Baronial Series is the Edward The Black
Prince with detachable sword mounted on a black horse .A very fine detailed figure

|

|
| Black Prince introduced in 1954 produced for
only a short time in as model cost was high and sales were poor. Came
complete with sword and axe in the same designed box as gold knight.
A model of the Duke of Marlborough was also introduced at the same
time, using the same black horse as the Black Prince |
|
As well their Baronial series of
knights they also produced knights for the rough and tumble of toy battles.

|
The figures are approx 54 mm scale.
All production of these
hollow-cast knights were phased out by the late 1950's

|
| The mounted Knight with the shield of Richard 1
and the rather strange pose, holding a sword by the blade is called The
Lionhearts Pledge. |

Packaging was either in boxes as above for the more
expensive Baronial series or on card with printed castle
