Knights of Avalon

Brian Rodden

Although not a collector of 90mm figures, the models Brian Rodden are in a different league, so graceful, full of animation, very romantic, they are very collectible.

As you will have seen from the Timpo knights I have a love of toy figure and film partnerships

"A Game of Thrones" a great fantasy read by George R R Martin features Robert Baratheon, Lord of Storm's End. Under Georges guidance this larger than life book character was beautifully crafted by Brian Rodden into this 90mm gold  mounted figure, complete with the war hammer and antler helm, dressed for battle.

In this figure Robert Baratheon is sculptured riding to war against Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone both love the same woman and are about to clash at the Battle of Trident. This may not be Brian Roddens usual type of knight figure, but it is a beauty. george_martin_web.jpg (74395 bytes)
Leaving fantasy behind and back to normal English verses the French or Scottish figures I think the new 50mm range looks more than a match for the Courtenays in style and finish. Their animated poses have the true Rodden flair. Enjoy the mix of 50mm figures below .
